It is my great pleasure to inform all interested scientists and experts, on behalf of Veterinary Council, I. R. Iran and The Organizing Committee that "1st International Congress of Veterinary Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Sciences (1st ICVPS)" will be held during October 4-5, 2008 in Tehran-Iran. Veterinary drugs have vast complexity and expansion in their scientific, industrial and operational aspects, and huge number of specialized human resources together with instruments, equipments and technology are engaged in this sector. At present, we witness remarkable daily achievements in the field of veterinary drugs in Iran and international level through indefatigable and continuous endeavors of related scientists, experts, researchers and other human resources, active in the field of veterinary pharmaceutical industry and its related executive bodies.
By taking into consideration the managerial, technological, scientific and technical complexities of veterinary drugs and their unique role in human societies' economy and health, the necessity to have scientific seminars and forums to exchange the viewpoints and create continuous relationship among involved experts, is quite obvious for everyone. This congress intends to make a dynamic international scientific environment for having all scientists, researchers, pharmacologists, clinicians, specialists engaged in veterinary pharmaceutical industry and other interested persons together in Tehran, so that through exchanging the experiences and achievements in the fields of medicinal scientific & research activities, specialized – technical aspects and the facing challenges of Veterinary pharmaceutical industry which could lead to emerging effective and fundamental approaches for promoting this industry at national and international levels.
Congress scientific programs, including pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology, poisonings and drugs side effects, formulation, drug regulation, medicinal residues, designing and development and medicinal technology will be executed through delivering key-note speeches, presenting papers and posters and holding symposiums, workshops and round table discussions. In addition, presence in Tehran, the capital of Iran will create a valuable opportunity for all congress participants to get more familiar with this vast country and its remarkable human civilization heritage. Besides scientific activities, we intend to organize cultural programs and tours for visiting historical attractions of Tehran and some other cities of Iran.
